A short biography

author Dave Glaze

I was born in British Columbia. While I was growing up, my family moved about every four years. After B.C., we lived in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.

After I graduated from high school, I worked as a journalist for radio, television, newspapers and magazines. Later, I worked as a teacher and a teacher-librarian in elementary schools. I've also been a social worker, a janitor, a landscaper and a lumber mill worker. But writing is what I like best.

When I was about forty years old, I decided I wanted to try to write a made-up story for my children. It took four years and many, many re-writings before that first story was finished and ready to be made into a book, called Pelly. I've kept on writing ever since and I've been fortunate to have had a number of books published.

I live with my wife in Saskatoon. Susan works at the University of Saskatchewan. We have two adult daughters and one granddaughter.
